Mission Statement
Our mission is simple: revive the New Orleans music scene by providing top quality live music production at an affordable price. Musicians in New Orleans have always struggled to earn decent wages while doing what they love most – performing their music and sharing their message. Hurricane Katrina exacerbated this problem throughout the gulf region. That is unacceptable. We strive to bring top quality audio equipment and engineers to local performers and to be a resource to artists, booking agents, and production crews, all with meticulous attention to client needs.
The Production Trailer, LLC, was founded by Andrew Oliver, Thomas Stevens and Eric Lee, bringing together over 60 years of production experience to the Greater New Orleans Area. After Hurricane Katrina, we were fortunate enough to begin working with area clubs that had lost their audio systems to the storm. In the months following the catastrophe, we engineered for local artists at Vaughan’s Lounge, Bullet’s Sports Bar, and Ray’s Room. We have also had the pleasure of working with Sweet Lorraine’s, Rosie’s Jazz Lounge, and Sydney’s Saloon.
Some of the local artists we have mixed for include Kermit Ruffins (3 years and counting), The Treme Brass Band, Trombone Shorty, and Corey Henry and the Sixth Ward Young Fellas. We have established and maintained a relationship with Mark Samuels of Basin Street Records, and have worked shows in association with Renew Our Music, now a program of Sweet Home New Orleans.
Recently, we have been able to work with some of the film crews visiting New Orleans, and we are proud to have provided equipment to “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, as well as “Night of the Demons”. We provided PA for all of the club scenes in the Chess Records film “Who Do You Love?” at venues such as Vaughan’s Lounge, Rosie’s Jazz Hall, The Maple Leaf, and Warren’s Corner.
